The largest
highway project the Department has ever let, this Design
Build contract includes removing and replacing over
10.5 miles of interstate and 29 bridges. The western
half of the project was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule
and opened to traffic in December of 2008. Crews are
currently working on the closed eastern portion of the
project to open to interstate traffic by December 31
of 2009. MBI is part of the Gateway Constructors teams
that also includes Fred Weber, Inc. and Granite Construction. |

Keel Section of Runway 12L-30R at Lambert. Over 10,000

and striping will be removed and replaced in a 10-day

Transit Agency, this project replaces the Metro Bridge
over Vandeventer Avenue in the City of St. Louis. The
uniqueness of this project is the completion of the
bridge must be done during an allowed track shutdown
between December 24th of 2008 and January 3rd of 2010. |

This reconstruction
and realignment project of Taxiway Victor includes over
40,000 CY of excavation, pavement removal and recycling
into base, 25,000 SY of 18" pavement and associated
drainage, electrical and striping work. There are also
tight phasing requirements when completing the new tie-in
at existing Runway 6-24. |
